"Dan is a joy to work with! His unbounded energy and love of his craft resulted in a highly successful and enjoyable week-long residency that reached many people in the community who normally don't come to our programs, particularly college students. The residency culminated in a sold-out final performance that had the audience enthralled throughout this most enjoyable evening."

Dan works with presenters to create residencies that rock. Forget master classes. Because of his subversive sense of humor and strange skills, Dan is able to bring his art directly to the people in some unlikely settings. here are a few examples.  For full accounts of two model residencies, click here.

Scenes from a mall. When Mr. Slomo takes a stroll through the local mall --in hypnotic slow motion--people do double takes. This makes for a great photo op for the local news team.

Sit down and shut up. Dan often appears before Rotary clubs or other business and community organizations as a speaker for whom things go horribly, embarrassing wrong.

Silent sermon. Dan has preached many a sermon in mime as part of church or synagogue services.  It's a great way to spread the gospel of the arts and let people know that something's up in the community.

Class clown. Dan's school assembly

programs get students excited about

theatre. Elementary school kids

ALWAYS get the better of the hapless

Pantomime Man, and The Illusionist

dazzles hard-to-impress middle and

high school students with eye-popping

movement illusions and mind-boggling

sleight-of-hand magic.

Go directly to jail. Dan has brought

his art to prisons, mental hospitals

and juvenille facilities. He delights in

performing for at-risk, in-need or

outlying populations who normally

don't get the chance to experience

the arts.

Get a job. Dan can work his magic on factory floors and other workplace environments.

Funny Bones.  The man who trained Robert Downey, Jr. for his Oscar-nominated performance in Chaplin leads the audience into the enchanted world of Charlie Chaplin. As Downey said, "Dan's insights are amazing."

Sure, he'll do master classes. Of course, Dan offers lively master classes in movement and physical comedy for all ages and levels of experience.

Get into the act! You know your community. Conspire with Dan to shake it up.

Resolutions: The first two columns are 300 dpi files, intended for print. The third column lists files at 72 dpi, which can be easily viewed on screen and used on for web applications. The 72 dpi files will NOT reproduce well in printed form at their current dimensions.

File format: All of these files are RGB or grayscale JPEGs saved from Adobe Photoshop at the highest quality settings. There should be no visible loss of data due to compression. They include previews.

File sizes:Compressed is the size of the file saved as a JPEG. This is the amount of data you will be downloading. The expanded size is how large the file will be when opened in a program such as Photoshop. Usage: To use them, they should be converted to an appropriate file format. For example, it is not recommended that the color photos be used as JPEGs in print applications; CMYK Tiff or EPS files would likely be more appropriate.

Color, contrast, etc.:  As with any supplied photography, you will likely need to make size, color, and sharpness adjustments for your particular usage.

Outlined vs. with background:The outlined photos (those with the backgrounds removed) are intended for use on white backgrounds. They do not, however, contain clipping paths, as this would have made including the shadows impractical.
